Wear a mask. If hosts and guests must interact or if there is a shared common area accessible to individuals outside of your reservation, wear a protective face covering at all times as recommended by regulatory agencies or authorities.
When you are in a common area or shared space (as a host or guest) maintain appropriate distance from anyone who's not part of your reservation at all times.
Wash all dirty dishes or place in dishwasher and start cycle
Wipe down inside of oven, microwave, fridge
Sanitize sinks/countertops
Wipe down all appliances/surfaces (including the toaster crumb tray and inside coffee maker/grinder)
Sweep/Vacuum/Mop floor
Empty dishwasher
Put out clean dish towel
Empty fridge of anything opened or expired except for condiments
Put new water bottles in fridge (4 per guest)
Ensure that dishes and silverware already in storage area are clean
Ensure presentation of kitchen items are correct (mugs with mugs, forks with forks, etc.)
Empty and clean ice trays in freezer
Refill ( ): paper towels, dish soap, kitchen basics (tbc)
Remove all items from sink, tub/shower, shelves, racks, etc.
Spray all the surfaces at once using a multisurface disinfectant
Clean toilet (be sure to clean the bottom side and behind the lid)
Clean tub
Clean mirror with glass cleaner
Sweep/Vacuum/Swiffer/Mop
Crease toilet paper
Refill: toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo, shower gel soap
Wipe all surfaces using multi-surface disinfectant where appropriate, Pledge furniture polish on wooden surfaces including inside closets
Make beds: fitted base sheet, flat sheet, 2/4no. pillows and throw (swap with clean linen and launder used offsite)
Sweep/Vacuum/Mop
Check for stains on sheets or throw
Check closets, under bed, and drawers for prior guest’s personal items that may have been left behind
Launder all used towels (offsite) and replace with the clean towels (one bath and one beach towel neatly folded per guest)
Wipe down all surfaces, including high shelving; use glass cleaner where appropriate
Sweep/Vacuum/Mop
Presentation is key, please create a good first impression for guests by organizing cushions, pillows, chairs, blinds, etc.
Clean the BBQ and surrounding area
Patio/outdoor space, make presentable with light cleaning, sweep, and furniture arrangement
Clean mirrors
No obvious uncleaned areas (crumbs, dust, marks on walls and floors, etc.)
Dishes are put away in appropriate places
AC turned off (if no guests are due to arrive).
Stove top/oven is off
Trash has been emptied from every receptacle and replace with new trash bag
Lights are turned off; windows and doors are locked
Household consumable supply levels are full
All light bulbs in all rooms are working
Doors to bedrooms are open
Blinds/curtains are open where possible to maximize natural light in listing
